Chart notes
SAMMY'S SMILE was well placed on the inside, angled out three wide on the far turn battled through stretch and prevailed after a long drive. MANGA MAN was allowed to settle early, rallied four wide in the stretch, lost his whip and caught in mid stretch, closed fast and just missed. SUSIE'S KID contended throughout and weakened slightly late. GONE IN A FLASH tracked four wide down the backside, rallied on the far turn and drew even, put in his bid and hung late. WORTHY OPPONENT raced wide early, dueled on the lead until mid stretch, then weakened. HITE was unhurried early and was no threat.
