Chart notes
CHAIRMAN FOX had a good tracking position on the rail behind the leaders three eighths to the finish, chased the frontrunner throughout the turn, began to reel in the pacesetter at the furlong pole, took command inside the final sixteenth and held safe at the line. BORN HAPPY settled in the middle of the pack in the beginning, was in the mix for a share three furlongs from the line, angled out five wide for the drive and closed well to capture place. PAPA KATZ travelled near the back in the beginning, stalked three wide racing on the turn, shifted out widest in the six path nearing the furlong marker and finished up well outside on the wrong lead to collect third. RED ZEPPELIN broke sharp to lead in the early stages, set a comfortable pace on the turn, was well in hand up front at the eighth pole and tired in deep stretch losing positions at the wire. MAHOGONY WILDCAT chased the pace throughout the turn, could not quicken with rivals two furlongs remaining and gave way between foes racing on the wrong lead at the eighth pole. DYNA'S BOURBON broke poorly spotted most of the field at the break, trailed down the backstretch, could not recover from the start and was not involved in the late stages. QUICK RELOAD dwelt at the start, was hustled to catch up to the field down the backside, had sight of the leaders running on the rail at the quarter pole and ran out of steam at the furlong marker inside.
