PIONEER OF MEDINA trailed the field early on, raced in the three path along the far turn, was in the six path into the lane, made a bid four wide down the lane, was under a long drive late and prevailed in the final stages. WARRIOR JOHNY chased the pace early, made a bid near the five sixteenths pole, was in the five path into the lane, inched ahead down the lane while under a long drive and gave in during the late stages. DROPPIN G'S tracked the pace early, made a bid and stuck a head in front near the five sixteenths pole, was in the four path into the lane and faltered late in the stretch run.
