Chart notes
NEWS FLASH pressured the pace through the backstretch and rounded the turn off the rail, dueled for the lead toward mid-stretch and edged clear in later yards. FREE DANCER chased through the backstretch, raced off the rail on the turn, left the turn about the four path and dug in to take second the final yards. GOLDEN KEY set a pressured pace, contested the edge nearest the rail on the turn, was met toward mid-stretch and relented the final sixteenth. EMPEROROFTHEDARK chased inside, raced near the rail on the turn then weakened. INSIDE RISK was not a factor and drifted on the turn. SILARDI saved ground. COWBOY AT HEART was unprepared for the break.
