OPTIMAL TRIP was settled in the early going while inside, rallied and slipped through on the backstretch going into the far turn, was in a long drive and drew away in late stretch. STILL ON THE BOOKS was pressing the pace while two wide, rallied three wide on the far turn, was in a long drive and gamely in to be second best. WHITEROSE JEWEL stalked the pace while two wide on the backstretch, shuffled back then made a bid to upper stretch but was no menace in late stretch. SPEND AGAIN set the early pace while inside, was two wide on the far turn and hard used but gave way. PRINCE OF EARL was allowed to settled then raced three wide on the backstretch but failed to menace. COMMANDING OFFICER chased the early pace while inside, was used up then gave way.
