Chart notes
SHED A TEAR chased the pace in the early going, gained a striking position three wide through the turn, bid outside the leader into the stretch, made a steady gain, shook clear, then drew off and was kept to the task. FREELANCE mid pack, looped up three and four wide through the turn, came five wide into the stretch and closed well for the place. ANY MINUTE well placed and outside, moved up to take command on the two path through the turn, then was no match for the winner in the lane, weakened and held the show. FELIX THE FOX unhurried, angled in through the turn, came through inside into the stretch and improved position. JAMA DILLON unhurried, looped four wide through the turn, fanned widest into the lane and passed a tiring rival. I'LL FINISH rushed up to set the pace inside, lost some ground through the turn, then faded in the strettch.
