Chart notes
COBRA JET was away in good order then drifted out early, set a pressured pace from off the rail, responded when challenged by YOU SPLIT ENDS nearing the quarter and SHIP IT RED with a furlong to run and edged away late. EXXEL checked soon after the start, raced reserved just off the leaders early, moved four-wide through the turn and finished with good late energy. SHIP IT RED was never far back while racing along the inside, remained inside for the drive, offered a bid in mid-stretch but failed to sustain his rally. RONAMO checked soon after the start, showed no early speed, raced five-wide through the turn and was not a factor. YOU SPLIT TENS pressed the pace of the winner while racing four-wide, moved up to offer a bid nearing the quarter and gave way in the drive. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AND INQUIRY AND THE RIDERS OF EXXEL AND RONAMO BOTH LODGED OBJECTIONS AGAINST COBRA JET CONCERNING THE DRIFTING OUT OF THAT FOE AND CAUSING BOTH TO CHECK AND AFTER REVIEWING THE FILMS THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED COBRA JET FROM FIRST AND PLACED HIM FOURTH.
