Chart notes
WATCH FOR THE LUTE chased the leader from the two path through the opening half mile, began a bid approaching the half mile pole, dueled on the outside around the far turn, kicked clear entering the stretch and held that margin to the wire. SANDY DUDE raced in the three path around the first turn, settled in the middle of the pack for the run up the backstretch, navigated the far turn still in the three path, began a bid approaching the quarter pole and gained ground late to the finish. SMARTHUMOR raced in the two path around the first turn, continued up the backstretch off the pace on the inside, saved ground around the far turn and improved position in the stretch. EL POLICIA led the field while saving ground around the first turn and up the backstretch, dueled from the rail around the second bend and weakened in the final furlong. STRATFORD trailed the field throughout, raced in the two path around the far turn and made no bid.
