Chart notes
MATTS FIRE N ICE pressed the pace from the three path through the turn then was coaxed in early stretch and drew clear. LAGOON sprinted to the lead from the inside, was engaged at the eighth pole and fought gamely to the wire. SMOOTH RIVER raced in the middle of the pack to the turn then made a three wide bid on the turn, was gaining late but was not enough. HYPERBOLIST broke through the gate prior to the start, then was void of speed to the turn and made a four wide rally in the stretch. CAPTAIN COOL saved ground throughout but failed to menace. R T'S WILDCAT vied for the early lead from the two path and dropped back. THUNDERTAKESDALEAD was never a threat.
