BUILT TO LAST five then four wide in pursuit, came under coaxing at the three-eighths, advanced to take command just inside the five-sixteenths, swung five wide into upper stretch, went clear under a drive to prevail. STEERAGE chased five to six wide under coaxing from the three-eighths, continued five to six wide into upper stretch, proved no match for the top one while keeping on to secure the place honors. CENTRAL PRIDE hustled from the gate, chased six to seven paths off the inside throughout under coaxing from the seven-sixteenths and passed tired rivals. HEREBY hustled from the start, chased four wide until steadily tucked to the inside from the three-eighths to the five-sixteenths, angled back out to swing four wide into upper stretch and improved position by tired foes. CLASH A. J. broke in at the start and was corrected, chased four wide under coaxing from the three-eighths and tired. CHIEF ENGINEER hustled from the gate, chased four then three wide under coaxing from the three-eighths, spun three wide for home and tired. QUACKENBUSH broke a beat slow and lost his lane at the start, chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn, went five wide for home and trailed throughout.
