Chart notes
HOT LE ROY was forwardly placed from the two path was coaxed at the five sixteenths pole to gain on the leader, headed leader at the eight pole and battled to the wire to be just up. MASTERLY went to a clear lead to the final turn, was engaged at the eighth pole and fought gamely to the wire and just missed. MIDNIGHT NIGHTMARE was positioned close up throughout on the inside, skimmed the rail at the end of the final bend and finished evenly. GRACIDA was allowed to settle around the first turn then made a four wide middle move but only improve position in the stretch. CUSTOM KAT tracked the leaders from the three path around the first turn and retreated. TUNE MY GUITAR was never involved.
