Chart notes
ADIOS BUCCANEER saved ground around the first turn, settled in the middle of the pack on the inside for the run up the backstretch, continued to save ground around the second bend, began a bid approaching the quarter pole and kicked clear in the final furlong. COPAZO led the way from the two path around the first turn and up the backstretch, dueled while saving ground around the far turn, was caught in midstretch and chased the winner home. SECRETARY OF WAR pressed the pace from the three path around the first turn, dropped back to chase the leader up the backstretch, dueled from the two path around the far turn and was outkicked in the lane. BALLINDINE hit the gate leaving it, raced wide in the four path around the first turn, moved up to duel on the outside racing up the backstretch, continued to battle from the three path around the second bend and faded in the stretch. CLASSIC BOURBON raced in the middle of the pack on the outside through the opening half mile, navigated the far turn from the three path, swung wide into the stretch and flattened out from there. NOBLE AND KIND trailed the field throughout, saved ground and never factored.
