Chart notes
LAFITTE'S FLEET settled off the pace, drafted in the two path around the turn, moved out while asked for his best in upper stretch, rallied outside in the final furlong and closed well to get up late. RISK PROFILE moved out inside the three-quarter pole, settled on the outside, was asked four wide on the turn, gained to make an outside bid into upper stretch, fought outside of RAGTIME BLUES into the final sixteenth, took the lead about five strides from the wire but was denied while able to get the place. RAGTIME BLUES brushed with a foe at the start, contested the pace on the outside of a rival, vied in the two path on the turn, came under a drive in upper stretch, led into the final sixteenth but was caught while well clear for the show. MUSICAL AMERICA settled off the pace, went three wide early on the turn then shifted five wide and lacked the needed response. PRINCE JAMES showed speed then stalked the pace on the outside, went three wide on the turn, moved out in upper stretch and came up empty. SOUTH AFRICA brushed with an opponent at the start, was urged along at the rear, went five wide on the turn and failed to threaten. MOUNT TRAVERS was hustled from the gate, contested the pace on the inside of a foe, vied along the rail on the turn and faded.
