HOWGREATISNATE was bumped at the start, stalked the pace, bid three wide on the turn, dueled into the stretch, responded when roused and drew clear in the final furlong. DAYDREAMING BOY stumbled at the start and was bumped, stalked the pace, bid between rivals on the turn, dueled into the stretch, dug in gamely but second best. BELT PARKWAY showed good early speed racing two wide, dueled inside rivals nearing the quarter pole and weakened in the lane. V MART showed good early speed on the rail, then chased inside, chased on the turn and tired. SILVER SLUGGER was outrun early, dropped far back on the turn and was eased up in the stretch, walked off. EVEY'S CANDY raced off the pace, moved up on the turn, was injured at the five sixteenths marker, lost the rider and was vanned off. After a Stewards' Inquiry, the race was declared official.
