Chart notes
SPELLED WELL set the pace on the inside, then turned back a bid from SIR SMOAK by the quarter pole, shook clear leaving the turn and then held on late to prove best under right handed crop urging. CHARLIES MEDAL was rated along the inside, then closed well leaving the turn and just missed at the wire. BOOK RUNNER tracked the pace early, then saved ground on the turn, swung out four wide leaving the turn for aim, rallied well to just miss. SIR SMOAK pressed the pace and made a three wide bid on the turn but flattened out. OVER THE BORDER chased the early pace five wide, then dropped down and was three wide on the turn, but was empty in the drive. Z'S SO GOOD chased the pace four wide and tired.
