Chart notes
CONGA BOY went to the lead and edged away in upper stretch and drew clear. MIDNIGHT NIGHTMARE raced in the middle of the pack from the four path , made a three wide bid on the final turn and proved second best. DEALMEINBUD was allowed to settle around the first turn and down the backstretch, made a rail rally into the final turn, moved out to three path at the sixteenth pole, dueled with outside rival to hold on to the show. POWERSHOT was four to five wide into the first turn, settled in the middle of the pack on the backstretch made a rail bid on the final turn, moved out to three to four wide in upper stretch, dueled with inside rival and just missed the show. MY BOY GUS was placed close up on the inside to upper stretch and weakened. SPHEROID was unhurried to the final turn then made a late two wide bid to improve position. GOLDEN PASSAGE was hustled along early, pressed the pace briefly then gave way. HIP FOUR O FOUR settled in the middle of the pack from the two path but was never a threat.
