Chart notes
ABOUT TODAY (ARG) raced in the middle of the pack on the outside up the backstretch, navigated the turn from the three path, began a bid approaching the quarter pole, gained ground outside and pulled clear late. WHERE PARADISE LAY broke sharply and then dropped back to trail the field through the opening quarter of a mile, began a bid while saving ground around the turn, swung to the outside in upper stretch and gained ground steadily to the wire. CHICKS DIG SCARS tracked the leader on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn, lost some ground entering the stretch and then ran on to improve position in the final furlong. TOPPER T pressed the pace on the outside in the early going, raced in the two path around the turn and dueled down the stretch, getting caught in the final strides. DOCTOR OSCAR led the field between horses up the backstretch, dueled while saving ground around the bend and gave way late. REAL TALK raced off the pace on the inside through the opening stages, came around the turn in the two path and made no bid.
