Chart notes
THE GRAY BLUR tracked along the inside, drifted out coming to midstretch while taking aim on the clear leader, grinded away through the final furlong as that foe tired, bid entering the final sixteenth, and drove clear. ROCKDALE stalked inside of the leader while in the three path around the first turn, forged an advantage at the five furlong pole, showed the way in the two path around the far turn as his outer counterpart sustained pressure, yet shook clear entering the lane, drew off in upper stretch, but tired in the final furlong, and was worn down leaving the sixteenth pole. EAST LEX leaned out at the start, raced at the rear in the three to two paths, swung to the eight path in upper stretch, and stayed on willingly. SERMONONTHEMOUNT was brushed by rivals on either side at the start, stalked the leader from the four to six path around the far turn, but failed to keep pace with the top pair down the backstretch, required hard urging to keep pace around the far turn, but yielded on his left lead in upper stretch, drifted in slightly in midstretch, and was eased up through the final sixteenth. FEELING DANGEROUS trailed in the four to three paths, and never got involved. CAP ROCK MINER set the pace while remaining in the five path around the first turn, got headed by an inner rival with five furlongs to go, pressed that foe from the four path entering the far turn, but weakened entering the lane, and caved.
