Chart notes
TIGER MOON outrun in the early going off the inside, advanced into contention in the two path second bend, challenged into the lane three wide, brushed with MIACOMENT inside the furlong marker, lugged in to brush that same foe again a sixteenth then lugged in more dramatically in the final strides while edging away. MIACOMET washy, showed the way into the first turn, continued to show the way up the backstretch and into the far turn, responded with confronted by the winner when straightened for home, brushed with that one midstretch, bothered a sixteenth out by that same foe and again at the wire to prove second best. DEEP STATE dropped inside first turn, tracked inside, closer turning for home, challenged inside the top two soon after then could not keep up with that pair the final furlong. REWIRE in traffic toward the front in the first turn, fell back, moved outside and was four wide turning for home, improved out in the strip while drifting in a bit with less than a furlong remaining. UNIFIED DREAMS in mid pack and off the inside, three down to two wide final turn, in tight a furlong out, improved slightly when clear. QUICK TO BLAME pressed the issue for six furlongs then began to weaken in the two path turning for home. R DOC back off the early pace, improved along the inside in upper stretch then flattened out. CONSPIRACY FACT four wide in the first turn when forwardly placed while four wide in the first turn, gave way. SHINNECOCK HILLS last to leave, trailed throughout in showing little. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REGARDING THE RUN THROUGH DEEP STRETCH, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
