Chart notes
SHAFT'S BULLET edged up early and relaxed nicely about five wide, had a duel develop in front of him after a half mile, responded to coaxing and steadily progressed past the three eighths, bid five wide outside runners soon into the lane, spurted clear under a drive in mid stretch, dug in when challenged from his inside by FRIGHTLAND through the final sixteenth and proved resolute under right handed encouragement. FRIGHTLAND dropped in after a quarter mile and took to rating, edged up behind rivals nearing the lane, awaited room from the quarter to the three sixteenths, found a seam to advance through in mid stretch, bid inside the winner a sixteenth out, fought gamely but was kept at bay. TATE settled off the pace and off the inside, lost ground four to five wide when making some headway mid turn, swung seven wide for the drive and closed steadily. JARDANI , unhurried early, gained four wide into the stretch, continued progress inside a rival nearing the eighth pole, altered sharply towards the inside and kept on with good energy. GALLANT GOLD rated forwardly, came four wide for the drive, had aim pursuing past the quarter pole but lacked a solid finish. MAGIC MULE , under a snug hold early, moved up and bid three deep heading to the turn, sparred to about the three sixteenths and faded. ELUSIVE AGENT rated towards the inside, eased out with some run mid turn, swung six wide and to the inside of TATE entering the lane, kept on to about mid stretch, failed to sustain and faded. SEA GHOST , urged along while saving some ground off the pace, angled out for the drive but failed to menace. ORO DE MORO MORO , well wide, was not a factor. NOSTALGIC RUN tracked early then bid between rivals past the five eighths, dueled between runners around the turn, held a slim lead into the lane, failed to kick on past the three sixteenths and weakened. PATRIOTIC PARTY was urged clear early, set the pace towards the rail, was joined heading to the turn, vied to upper stretch then succumbed. ICY MINISTER , towards the inside, was outrun.
