Chart notes
PINO IN A PURSE led the way up the backstretch, dueled while saving ground around the turn, kicked clear entering the stretch and held off a late closer to the wire. GIRLS IN CHARGE chased the leader between horses through the opening quarter of a mile, saved ground around the turn, began a bid approaching the quarter pole, switched to the outside in upper stretch and gained ground to the wire. DR. ANN raced in the middle of the pack on the inside early, navigated the turn from the two path, improved position in upper stretch and finished evenly. JLO CAN DANCE trailed the field up the backstretch, raced in the three path around the turn, and improved position in the lane while never threatening the top two. CHECK THE GRADE tracked the pace setter on the outside up the backstretch, challenged from the two path coming around the bend and tired in the stretch.
