SHACKLEFORD COUNTY hugged the inner rail on the turn, was in hand approaching the stretch waiting for a clear run, eased out to the three path at the head of the stretch, too command outside DOMINEER approaching the sixteenth pole and drew off. DOMINEER bumped with TORCH CARRIER leaving the starting gate, accelerated to the early lead, set the pace slightly off the rail around the turn and gave way grudgingly. TORCH CARRIER bumped with DOMINEER at the start, raced along the inner rail through the stretch and rallied mildly. FORTES , three deep chasing the pace around the turn, weakened. APPALACHIANHEIGHTS , no factor, raced along the inner rail around the turn. EVER SO D'WILD stumbled leaving the starting gate, circled foes three wide on the turn, gave way and was eased.
