Chart notes
SARCASTIC TONE was rushed to contention to the first turn then tracked the leader to the quarter pole and took over at the three sixteenths pole and drew clear. CORVETTE SPIRIT broke well and went straight to a clear lead, was engaged at the three sixteenths pole but couldn't match strides but was able to hold on for the place. MEDITATE was forwardly placed in the two path down the backstretch then made a mild bid on the final turn for a late run and missed the place. OUTLAW X. stalked the pace from the three path down the backstretch then moved out to four wide at the quarter pole for a late run but came up empty in the drive. DEALIN' STELEN was allowed to settle to around the first turn then made a three wide bid at the three eighths pole and improved his position. HOLDING FAST was within striking distance on the inside to the final turn and gave way but finished evenly. HUMPHREY was restless in the gate then raced near the back around the first turn then moved up on the backstretch and flattened out.
