Chart notes
TEN PIN ALLY raced in the middle of the pack on the outside early, navigated the turn from the four path and was empty in the lane. WORKING OVERTIME trailed the field up the backstretch, came around the bend in the four path and made no bid. LYRICAL chased the leader on the outside through the opening quarter of a mile, was held firmly in the two path by his rider for the run around the turn and was outkicked in the stretch. DRILL'S VALENTINE chased the pacesetters on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn, launched a bid entering the stretch and pulled clear late. LEA ME ALONE dueled on the outside up the backstretch, continued to battle from the two path around the turn and was outfinished late. MELANCHOLY BLUES dueled on the inside in the early going, chased the leader from the three path around the turn and kept on to the wire.
