POVERTY BAY broke sharply to stalk the pace of A VIEW FROM ABOVE, moved four-wide through the turn, reached the fore with a sixteenth to run and drew clear. GOLD RUSH CANDY was reserved just off the leaders early, saved ground through the turn, angled out into the lane and finished with a steady bid. A VIEW FROM ABOVE sprinted clear at once, raced off the rail while setting the pace and gave way in the drive. TOIL AND TROUBLE lagged early, moved three-wide through the turn, angled out further in mid-stretch and finished with some late run. ABRAAJ MIRAGE was off a step slow, lacked early speed, saved ground through the turn and failed to reach contention. BOLD VOYAGER settled off the leaders early, moved five-wide through the turn and lacked the needed rally. TOOL TIME showed brief speed, raced three-wide through the turn and weakened.
