Chart notes
PROVERB vied two wide between foes, seized command in upper stretch and drove clear. JOE DI BAGGIO settled off the pace while racing two wide, angled four wide in upper stretch and ran on to be clearly second best. HERE COMES BULLET pressed the pace three wide, took a short lead near the five-sixteenths pole but weakened in the lane. COMMANDING GENERAL set a pressured pace along the rail and faltered in the lane. VALID EXCHANGE failed to menace while racing four wide. OLD TOWN ROAD played no factor while racing two and three wide.
