Chart notes
SAG HARBOR settled inside on the first turn, started a bid nearing the seven sixteenths pole and improved at the rail on the far turn, dug in under steady encouragement leaving the turn, got up in the final yards and raced clear toward the wire. BAAGY settled off the rail on the first turn, bid nearing the three eighths pole and took the lead at the rail at the five sixteenths pole, raced clear approaching the quarter pole, widened through the far turn but was caught flattening stride late. SPRITZER set the early pace inside, was caught leaving the first turn and dueled from that point, but faded into the far turn. BOWIE TWO STEP stalked the pace from the three path the first turn, took the lead into the backstretch and dueled from that point, was caught at the five sixteenths pole and flattened in the three path of the far turn. PRINCE OF FENTON stalked the early pace two deep but dropped back from between horses leaving the half mile pole and faded through the backstretch. DIVINING DANCER was taken up on the first turn and walked off post race.
