Chart notes

GHOSTLY SQUALL set a pressured pace, kept the edge off the rail on the turn, raced clear mid-stretch and was steadily handled to widen the final sixteenth. UNLOCK broke outward and made contact with Merci Road leaving the gate and was pinched back on the chute, picked up the chase outside, rounded the turn off the rail, was bumped off stride nearing mid-stretch but dug in to take second under the wire. SHUTUPN'KISSME broke in and made contact with Merci Road then pressured the pace inside, raced close at the rail on the turn but dropped back toward the sixteenth pole and was nipped from second under the wire. DEEMED ESSENTIAL chased through the backstretch, raced in the four path on the turn, was bumped in and into Unlock in the vicinity of the eighth pole and not encouraged the remainder of the stretch. SISTER JOANN pressured the pace while between horses down the backstretch, dropped back approaching the quarter pole, rounded the turn in the three path, was roughed off the heels of rivals past the eighth pole and not encouraged further. MERCI ROAD was bumped leaving the gate then gave chase, came through the turn five wide, fell with a fatal injury past the eighth pole and had to be euthanized on the track.
