Chart notes
ALWAYS SEEKING away in good order, tracked the solid early pace, advanced to stalk three wide nearing the quarter marker, loomed in upper stretch, overtook CAROLINA MIA nearing the furlong marker, drew clear under mild urging in the final sixteenth and was geared down in the final strides. LUXURY LINER close up to the early pace, pressed the solid fractions while outside of CAROLINA MIA, chased that rival to mid-stretch, could not keep pace with ALWAYS SEEKING inside of the furlong marker and outfinished CAROLINA MIA in the final stages to secure second. CAROLINA MIA showed good early speed, set the pressured pace to the turn, carved out solid fractions to the quarter marker, was set down for the drive while holding foes at bay in upper stretch, could not hold off ALWAYS SEEKING nearing the furlong marker, weakened in the late stages and was outfinished for second, while holding for third. CODE RIBBON unhurried in the early going, raced three wide into the stretch, lacked a late kick and just missed for third in the final strides. THAT'S AMARE chased the fast early pace, saved ground to the top of the lane, could not keep pace in the drive and tired.
