Chart notes
BIG RED ROCKS raced in the two path around the first turn, settled in the middle of the pack on the outside for the run up the backstretch, navigated the far bend from the four path, began a bid in upper stretch and got up for the win late. EIGHT WEEKS LONG brushed with the horse to his inside at the start, raced off the pace on the outside through the opening half mile, continued around the second turn in the two path, launched a bid passing the quarter pole and gained ground late. CROWLEY'S WAR angled over to save ground around the first turn, led the way on the inside up the backstretch, dueled from the two path around the far turn and in upper stretch, drifted in at the eighth pole and kept on to the finish. THE SKIPSTER raced in the two path around the first turn, chased the leader between horses up the backstretch, challenged from the three path coming around the far turn and chased on to the wire. SIMMS saved ground at the pack of the pack through the opening half mile, continued to save ground around the second turn, began a bid passing the quarter pole, was forced to take up sharply in midstretch when CROWLEY'S WAR drifted into his lane and kept on from there. KING OF CHAOS brushed with the horse to his outside at the start, saved ground around the first turn, settled in the middle of the pack on the inside for the run up the backstretch, came around the second bend in the three path and never threatened. SKIPPERINI bumped with the horse to his outside leaving the gate, raced at the back of the pack on the outside around the first turn and up the backstretch, began a bid from the five path coming around the far turn and flattened out in the lane. CLEMSON TIGER raced in the three path around the first turn, pressed the pace on the outside up the backstretch, continued to battle from the four path coming around the far bend and tired in the stretch. THE RIDER OF HORSE SIX, SIMMS, FILED AN OBJECTION AGAINST HORSE TWO, THE SKIPSTER, CITING INTERFERENCE IN UPPER STRETCH. A STEWARDS INQUIRY WAS MADE INTO THE SAME INCIDENT. UPON REVIEW, HORSE TEN, CROWLEYS WAR WAS DISQUALIFED AND PLACED FIFTH FOR INTERFERING WITH HORSE SIX, SIMMS, NEAR THE EIGHTH POLE.
