Chart notes
TECATE GOLD sprinted clear at once, raced off the rail while setting the pace, responded when challenged by PRINCESS JAYLEEN nearing the five-sixteenths marker, opened a clear margin into the lane and held PHOENICIAN MAGIC safe late. PHOENICIAN MAGIC broke sharply to stalk the leaders while racing three-wide, moved up to offer a bid nearing the quarter, vied with the winner but could not gain on that rival in the drive. PRINCESS JAYLEEN chased the winner while racing four-wide, moved up to engage that foe nearing the five-sixteenths marker and gave way in the drive. LILY PAD LAKE was forwardly placed early, moved four-wide through the turn and finished evenly in the drive. MISS CONTINENTAL showed no early speed, raced four-wide through the turn, angled out further in mid-stretch and did not offer a bid. NO CAUSE TO DOUBT was void of early speed, raced off the rail through the turn and was not a factor.
