LIGEIA raced in the two path around the first turn, settled in the middle of the pack on the outside for the run up the backstretch, navigated the far turn from the three path, began a bid passing the quarter pole, gained ground outside in upper stretch and pulled clear. IRISH KITTEN raced in the three path around the first turn, stalked the pace setters on the outside up the backstretch, began a bid from the three path coming around the second bend, dueled in the lane and chased the winner home late. NEWYEARSPRESENT tracked the leader on the outside through the opening half mile, began a bid from the two path coming around the turn, dueled in upper stretch, was caught by the winner in the final furlong and kept on to the finish. SHE IS ROYALTY raced in the four path early, settled off the pace for the run up the backstretch, continued around the far turn still in the four path, began a bid passing the quarter pole and improved position in the lane. SYLLABUS raced at the back of the pack on the inside through the opening half mile, navigated the far turn from the two path and improved position in the stretch. I'LL GO ALL IN saved ground around the first turn, chased the leader on the inside up the backstretch, was forced to steady near the three eighths pole when BYZANTINE EMPIRE backed up into him, switched out the three path and flattened out in the lane. LIFENHOWULIVIT raced in the two path early, continued up the backstretch at the back of the pack on the outside, angled in to save ground around the second bend and never threatened. BYZANTINE EMPIRE led the field while saving ground around the first turn, continued to show the way while racing up the backstretch, began to drop back from the rail coming around the far turn and tired further in the stretch. BLACK KARMA raced in the middle of the pack on the inside around the first turn and up the backstretch, navigated the far bend from the two path and faded in the lane. GET IT trailed the field the entire way around the oval, saved ground throughout and was never a factor. A STEWARDS INQUIRY WAS MADE INTO THE FAR TURN. UPON REVIEW, NO CHANGES WERE MADE TO THE ORDER OF FINISH.
