Chart notes
ALLEVA was bumped at the start then hustled along to duel for the lead with LONELY PRIVATE from off the rail, drifted out through the lane while vying with that rival and held gamely to prevail. LONELY PRIVATE was away in good order to duel for the lead with the winner while racing three-wide, was carried out by that rival through the stretch but could not get by through the vigorous drive. KELLER'S GOLD was reserved just off the leaders early, moved four-wide through the turn, angled in nearing the sixteenth pole and failed to gain in the drive. FASCINATED showed no early speed, raced six-wide through the turn and lacked the needed rally. PERFECT FANNY was bumped at the break, settled off the leaders early, moved four-wide through the turn and weakened in the drive. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY CONCERNING THE DRIFTING OUT OF ALLEVA THROUGH THE STRETCH AND AFTER REVIEWING THE FILMS MADE NO CHANGE.
