Chart notes
THE BIG CALICO led the way on the inside up the backstretch, raced in the three path around the turn and drew off in the lane. JAWBREAK tracked the leaders on the outside up the backstretch, navigated the bend from the four path and chased the winner home in the stretch. JURKOVEC raced in the middle of the pack on the outside early, came around the turn in the five path and gained ground mildly in the lane. FUN AT THE FORT raced at the back of the pack on the outside through the opening quarter of a mile, continued around the turn in the four path and improved position in late stretch. GREENPOINT hit the gate leaving it, raced off the pace up the backstretch, navigated the bend from the two path and showed no kick. SAN ANDRES pressed the pace on the outside early, dueled from the two path around the turn and faded in the stretch. ERLAN raced in the middle of the pack on the inside up the backstretch, continued around the turn in the two path and tired from there. HANDSOME TODD trailed the field throughout, saved ground around the bend and was never a factor. PER RULING #2023-00113 FROM THE FLORIDA GAMING CONTROL COMMISSION, THE BIG CALICO WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM 1st TO UNPLACED DUE TO A POSITIVE TEST.
