Chart notes
GOLD PHOENIX (IRE) settled inside, saved ground through the far turn, moved out in the lane, rallied four deep between foes and outkicked DU JOUR in the late stages. DU JOUR bumped leaving the gate, taken back early and trailed two to three wide around the clubhouse turn, went between rivals at the quarter pole, swung widest into the stretch, rallied six deep in the final furlong but got outkicked by the winner. CABO SPIRIT pulled along the inside into the first turn then stalked the pace in-hand, waited behind the top trio on the far turn, steered out into the stretch, bid five deep in the furlong grounds but got outfinished by the top pair. HONG KONG HARRY (IRE) tracked two wide early, inched closer from outside in the middle stages, challenged three deep at the five-sixteenths pole, battled into the final sixteenth but failed to find the needed late kick. AIR FORCE RED sped clear and angled over to the inside, gained company from outside on the backstretch, fought with a pair of rivals past the five-sixteenths pole, showed the way into the final sixteenth and yielded late. MASTEROFFOXHOUNDS stalked outside a rival early then off the rail, went up to apply pressure from outside in the middle stages, vied between rivals into the stretch, remained close to the sixteenth pole then faltered late. BALNIKHOV (IRE) chased two wide into the first turn then began to pull between rivals, settled in the middle stages while still between, spun four wide into the drive and weakened. ROYAL SHIP (BRZ) bumped with inner rival at the start, tracked two then three wide early, raced three deep into the second bend, dropped back and trailed four to five wide into the lane and had little left for the stretch run.
