CANDY FOR CARMEL stalked two wide, dropped back a bit and chased on the far turn, rallied on the rail passing the furlong marker, finished willingly and pulled away. BEACHWALKER vied inside for the lead, dueled on the backside, edged away on the far turn, drew clear, then was no match for the winner and clear for the place spot. PREDOMINATE raced two wide off the pace, closed belatedly in the stretch, gained late on the rail and got up for third. MAXIM MOMENT vied outside for the lead, dueled on the backside, chased on the far turn and weakened in the lane. HOMETOWN HERO tracked on the inside, chased on the far turn, came three wide into the lane and lacked a rally. FORMAL ORDER raced off the pace inside, was outrun and gave way.
