DOC IRWIN was steadily gaining ground from the inside down the backstretch and into the far turn, then menaced in the upper stretch to close well in late stretch. WAR CHEST was allowed to settle along the inside on the backstretch and throughout the far turn, then rallied in the upper stretch to close well and was up for the show prize. EASTER SNAP chased the pace down the backstretch from the four path, then menaced on the second turn to close willingly in the stretch just missing third place in the end. PERFECT STAR was unhurried early, then raced behind the field down the backstretch, made a mild bid from the two path on the far turn and into the stretch but came up empty and was vanned off after the race. G'S TURN was unhurried early then continued to race from the inside down the backstretch, then bid from the two path on the far turn into the lane and passed tiring rivals. PAPA RIZZO set the pace throughout the first three quarters of the course, was used up entering the final quarter and weakened in the end. HALF OURS TO KEEP settled in the two path on the backstretch, then bid on the far turn and was no threat.
