Chart notes
J T'S A. T. M. was away in good order to duel for the lead with DURANGO JESS while racing three-wide, opened a clear lead into the lane and held sway to the wire. CANNONBALL COMIN lacked early speed, saved ground through the turn, angled out nearing the three-sixteenths pole, could not reach the winner but finished with a late bid to gain the place. SPENDAHOLIC chased the leaders while racing four-wide and gave way in the drive. MIAMI CROCKETT showed no early speed, raced three-wide through the turn, angled out further into the stretch and finished evenly. JAZZ TOWN lacked early foot, raced four-wide through the turn, angled in with a furlong to run and did not threaten. DURANGO JESS disputed the pace with the winner from the inside and gave way through the final furlong. DUSALUT was forwardly placed early, moved six-wide through the turn and weakened. THE RACE WAS HAND TIMED.
