Chart notes
LONG TERM angled out early then settled on the outside, was roused four wide on the turn, gained to take the lead coming to the quarter-pole, drew away under a left-handed crop into the final furlong and held while kept to the task. PIONEERING SPIRIT lost his footing at the start and was off a bit slow, settled well back in the field, was urged three wide around the turn then driven four wide into the stretch and finished with good energy but missed while well clear for the place. STJAMES broke in and was off slow then corrected by the rider, settled at the rear, moved from three to five wide around the turn, came six wide into the stretch and was along for the show. CLOUD MUSIC bumped with a rival at the start, prompted the pace on the outside, took the lead in the three path on the turn, lost the advantage to the winner coming to the quarter-pole and tired. MAD MAGIC settled off the pace, saved ground under urging around the turn, was driven into the stretch in the two path and lacked the needed response. GOLDEN PURCHASE bumped with a rival at the start and broke towards the rear, moved out early then settled off the pace, went four wide under urging on the turn, came five wide into the stretch and failed to rally. OMERTA CODE bumped with an opponent at the start and was off a bit slow, settled well off the pace under some urging, was ridden along in the two path on the turn and was no factor. NIEUWENDYK bumped with a foe at the start, showed the way down the backstretch, lost the lead while along the rail outside the three-eighths and stopped.
