POLITICAL tracked the pacesetter three wide, made a bid leaving the quarter pole and hit the front at the furlong marker and slowly edged clear to prove best under a mild drive. PAL CAL set the pace on th inside while clear, was well rated on the lead, headed nearing the furlong marker, dug in but was out kicked, second best. DIGGERS DIAMOND chased the pace, three wide on the far turn and held the show award. MELINA'S DREAM was settled early, switched to the inside on the turn and failed to threaten, missed show award.
