Chart notes
BIG CHOPPER tracked along the inside under a snug hold, saved ground around the turn, produced a rail bid passing the furlong pole, forged an advantage inside the final sixteenth, and desperately lasted to the wire from a quickly on-charging rival. BRIAN'S IRON MIKE broke slowly, raced off of the pace in the three path, came under a firm hold between horses into the turn before fanning to the five path to be outside of the main group approaching the five sixteenths pole, spun in to the lane in the six path, delayed a lead change until the furlong grounds, but surged outside of rivals after changing over, offered a late bid in hopes of reeling in the leader at the wire, but narrowly came up short. BERTIE'S GALAXY took a bump from an outer rival at the start, prompted the pace outside of the leader, pressed in the three path around the turn got floated to the four path entering the lane, wrestled an advantage approaching the furlong grounds, but shifted inwardly and into his inner counterpart's path at the furlong grounds, got headed by a rail bidder in the final sixteenth, and yielded between horses late. BRON AND BROW rated off of the pace in the two path, and chased willingly through the lane while not menacing. RELENTLESS DANCER stalked behind the top pair and from the three path, shifted to the five path to take aim outside of them entering the lane, but lacked a bid. YANKEE SEVEN set the pace inside of a pressing rival while remaining a bit off of the rail around the turn, resisted that foe's bid while spinning into the lane in the three path, but got headed approaching the final furlong, steadied when his outer counterpart shifted into him soon after, and faltered between horses in the late stages. FIESTY FIST bumped an inner rival at the start, chased the top pair from the four path, and gave way entering the lane. X CLOWN bobbled before being bumped by rivals on both sides and checking out of crowded quarters at the start, trailed along the inside, then greenly refused to change leads through the lane, and got outrun. VODKA GIMLET was urged along to chase from midpack while hung in the six path into the turn, and tired. FOLLOWING A RIDER'S CLAIM OF FOUL OF YANKEE SEVEN AGAINST BERTIE'S GALAXY FOR INTERFERENCE IN MIDSTRETCH; AS WELL AS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REVIEWING THE INCIDENT, BERTIE'S GALAXY WAS DISQUALIFED AND PLACED SIXTH.
