Chart notes
PEPE AND HEYWOOD , three deep prompting the pace around the turn, secured command in upper stretch and drew clear under urging. JIMMY THE KID , well placed three wide on the turn, swung four wide in upper stretch and rallied nicely. MANOLETE lacked speed off the rail, steadied to avoid the fallen horse approaching the quarter pole, worked between horses in the stretch and had a slight rally. BERNIE'S ON FIRE set a pressured pace along the inner rail and weakened the final furlong. OUR HOISTED MAST lacked speed, was fanned wide entering the stretch and had a mild rally outside foes. TOM TERRIFIC trailed to the turn, steadied to avoid the spill leaving the turn, swung six wide in upper stretch and passed faders. BAPTIZE THE BOY hugged the inner rail chasing the early pace then checked and altered course to avoid the spill approaching the quarter pole. MOJAC KAT , fractious in the starting gate, was outrun and checked to avoid the spill. FORTH disputed the pace between horses and fell when sustaining an injury approaching the quarter pole. There was a stewards' inquiry concerning the run around the turn but no action was taken.
