Chart notes
SUPER CARO raced in the three path around the first turn, settled in the middle of the pack on the outside for the run up the backstretch, began a bid from the three path coming around the far bend, drifted out and bumped with FREE SHOT in upper stretch and held a narrow margin to the wire from there. ELSA'S ROCKET raced in the two path around the first turn, trailed the field on the outside up the backstretch, swung out to the six path to began a bid approaching the quarter pole and gained ground late. X Y LADY saved ground around the first bend, dueled on the inside up the backstretch, continued to battle from the two path around the far turn and kept on in the lane. FREE SHOT raced in the three path around the first turn, dueled on the outside up the backstretch, continued to battle from the four path around the second turn, was bumped and forced to steady when SUPER CARO came into his lane in upper stretch and finished evenly in the final furlong. INFLUENTIALOUS chased the leader on the inside through the opening half mile, saved ground around the far turn and faded in the stretch. GENERAL ROBINSON raced in the four path early, tracked the leader on the outside up the backstretch, began a bid from the five path coming around the far bend, ran into traffic and altered his route near the eighth pole and flattened out from there. DR. BELLA saved ground around the first turn, continued up the backstretch off the pace on the inside, navigated the far turn from the two path and was empty in the lane. THE RIDER OF HORSE SIX, FREE SHOT, CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST HORSE FIVE, SUPER CARO, CITING INTERFERENCE IN UPPER STRETCH. A STEWARDS INQUIRY WAS MADE INTO THE SAME INCIDENT. UPON REVIEW, HORSE FIVE, SUPER CARO, WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED SIXTH FOR INTERFERENCE WITH BOTH HORSE SIX, FREE SHOT, AND HORSE SEVEN, GENERAL ROBINSON NEAR THE EIGHTH POLE.
