Chart notes
SMILING LADY broke alertly and was sent to the early lead, was well rated through decent fractions through the backstretch run, dictated terms to the quarter marker, drew to a clear lead leaving the second turn, was given a few reminder taps in the stretch and held sway in the end as much the best. BOURBON GLAZE was forwardly placed into the first turn, stalked the decent pace through the backstretch run, kept attendance to SMILING LADY to the quarter marker, could not match strides with that rival in the stretch and just held for second. MASTERY KAT tracked the decent early fractions, was well placed through the backstretch run, raced two then three wide to the quarter marker, lost a bit of ground in upper stretch, re-rallied in the late stages but was unable to offer the needed late response and just missed for the place, while just holding for the show. HOW ABOUT A FRESCA took back off of the early pace, came three wide into the first turn, was unhurried through the backstretch run, slipped to the inside heading into the far turn, improved position in upper stretch, closed willingly in the late stages and just missed for the minor awards. DELUSIVELY chased the moderate fractions from the inside, maintained position to the quarter pole, swung three wide into the stretch and lacked a late rally. HAPPY GAL was allowed to settle, raced three wide into the first turn then tucked into the two path entering the backstretch run, was not far back heading to the second turn, was outrun while three wide nearing the quarter marker, was eased through the stretch run and walked off under her own power.
