Chart notes
SOROS pressed the pace two wide for five furlongs, assumed command, set the balance of the pace and drew clear under strong handling. BROADWAY SKY with the second flight, surged through deep stretch four wide and got up for second. AGNELLO'S DREAM also with the second flight near the inside, shifted out leaving the far turn, rallied three wide through upper stretch but was outfinished for second. SNOWSCAPE was in tight between horses soon after the start, trailed into the stretch then finished with good courage along the rail. GRAND DEAL failed to menace. WAR NOVEL away alertly, set a pressured pace along the inside for five furlongs, had speed into the stretch then gave way.
