Chart notes
GALLANT GOLD came away a bit awkwardly and raced in tight approaching the first turn, started a bid into the backstretch and took the lead three wide nearing the head of the lane, dueled clear in the upper stretch and was steadily handled to widen. SUBJECT TO CHANGE raced with the early pace two deep, took a slim lead leaving the half mile pole and dueled through the backstretch, contested even terms at the rail on the far turn, was met approaching the top of the lane and relented the final furlong. ROYAL THUNDER raced off the pace in the three path the first turn, challenged four wide approaching the three eighths pole, dropped back past the five sixteenths but dueled through the stretch for third. SAG HARBOR saved ground, picked up the chase from the seven sixteenths pole, raced off the rail on the far turn and was outfinished in the stretch duel for third. NOID rated close inside on the first turn, challenged three wide approaching the three eighths pole, contested even terms two deep on the far turn but dropped back toward the head of the lane and weakened. CHARLIE POTATOES raced off the rail on the opening turn, showed little response through the backstretch and rounded the far turn in the four path. ONE TWO KID showed little response. JAMMIN STILL raced well back in the four path on the first turn and never factored. MISSIONSNINETYNINE raced with the early pace inside, dueled from the half mile pole but dropped back at the five sixeteenths and gave way at the rail.
