Chart notes
WILD FIREWATER set a pressured pace on the inside and made a bid on the turn and drew clear in the furlong grounds to prove best, driving. PAINTED SMOKE was four wide into the first turn, reserved two to three wide, advanced between rivals on the turn, angled out when straightened and rallied well to be clearly second best. NOGAL CANYON chased the early pace and made a three wide bid to press the pace on the turn but flattened out. KING BRYCE was off a step slow, settled back early and then passed the tiring rivals. EL OCHO tracked the pace on the inside and weakened. JR'S CONFIDENCE chased the pace five wide, made a four wide bid on the backstretch and weakened. CANDY RASCAL was settled early and weakened. AX 'S SHORE pressed the winner two wide and tired. CINZENTO BOY broke in the air and trailed.
