Chart notes
QUE SERA SIR RALPH broke alertly and was sent to the early lead, set modest fractions through the backstretch run while well handled, showed the way to the quarter marker, quickened in upper stretch and drew clear at the furlong marker, was kept to steady urging in the late stages and drew off in deep stretch to be much the best. PORT O' CALL was allowed to settle while not far back, raced three wide into the far turn, ran evenly to mid-stretch, could not muster the needed late response, was outkicked by the winner in the drive and ran on to secure second. DANNY MICHAEL was hard to load, brushed with CARSON'S LEGACY at the start and was off a step slowly, was unhurried through the backstretch run, raced three wide into the stretch, finished evenly in the final furlong and was clear for third at the finish. MONEY MUNCHER chased the moderate fractions from the inside, ran evenly to the furlong pole and gave way late. CARSON'S LEGACY brushed with DANNY MICHAEL at the start, stalked the early pace then advanced to prompt the pacesetter along the backstretch run, kept attendance to QUE SERA SIR RALPH to the quarter pole, lost ground in the drive and tired in the final stages.
