Chart notes
BIG POWER RED rated four wide outside of foes, ridden along just past the three eighths pole and finished strongly to edge clear late under strong handling. HECOULDGOALLTHEWAY pressed the early going while racing between, led inside the eighth pole and gave way grudgingly to big Power Red. LOUIS LE GRANDE prompt the early pace while racing three wide, dug in through the latter stages and kept on to the wire while racing six deep. KENTUCKY PEERLESS dropped back off the early pace, raced near the inside past the quarter pole, raced four wide between rivals in the stretch and finished willingly to the wire. EYES ON RED was sent along from the inside, lead rope was still attached after leaving the gate, set the pace, gave way the final three sixteenths of a mile, a stewards inquiry was filed for attached lead rope and stewards ruled no action to be taken. MAX PANDOWDY dropped back early, raced two to three wide and had no late response. FRA MAURO settled off the early pace, raced along the inside past the three eighths pole, angled out and had no late rally. TEXAS TITAN raced five to six wide around the far turn and never threatened.
