Chart notes
NOBLE FISH stalked the pace while racing three-wide, moved up to take the lead nearing the eighth pole and gradually drew clear. DUKE OF GLOUCESTER vided for the early lead with Sir Robert Hall from along the inside, shook that one off leaving the quarter pole, was no match for the winner but continued on well for the place. BOLD ADVANCE saved ground while being allowed to settle in stride, slipped through during the drive and improved his position. SIR ROBERT HALL dueled with Duke of Gloucester for the lead to the stretch and tired. SAGA was off a step slow and failed to meance. EXPANSIVE dropped well back early and showed little.
